Who we are

Cassette Player is operated by Jerry Munyoka Nkongolo, trading as Rafikki Studio. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].

Your music

Cassette Player plays music from your Apple Music library, with your permission, and from audio files you add yourself. Your files stay on your device. We do not operate a server that receives your library, your listening history or your files. Apple Music playback is provided by Apple under its own privacy policy.

Your drawings and photos

Drawings you make on a tape and photos you turn into prints are processed and stored on your device. They are not sent to us or to anyone else. If you save a tape's paper to your photo library or share it, the copy goes where you send it.

Camera, microphone and local network

These are optional and off until you turn the feature on.

• Camera: only for "Your room" on iPad, which shows your room behind the player. Camera images are not saved or sent anywhere.
• Microphone: only for room listening, so the screen can react to the sound in the room. Nothing is recorded or kept.
• Local network: only to let your iPhone act as a remote for your iPad nearby. The two devices talk directly to each other, encrypted.

Purchases

Apple processes Cassette Studio purchases. RevenueCat helps validate purchases, restore them and determine whether Studio is unlocked. The app uses a RevenueCat-generated anonymous app user identifier, purchase and transaction information, entitlement status and technical information needed for this service, such as app and operating-system versions. This processing can happen when the app checks access, even if you have not bought Studio. We do not supply RevenueCat with your name, email, music library, drawings, photos or payment-card details. An anonymous identifier is not a guarantee that purchase records can never be associated with an Apple transaction.

RevenueCat's privacy information explains its services and international processing. Purchase records are retained as needed to recognise and restore your purchase and meet applicable obligations; deleting the app does not automatically delete Apple or RevenueCat purchase records.

No ads, no tracking

Cassette Player does not include advertising, advertising tracking or an analytics service.

Support

If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever you include. Support correspondence is used to answer and resolve your request. Links to the public support and legal pages open Notion-hosted websites, whose own privacy policy applies to visits.
