Radio Global (the app, we, us) is designed to respect your privacy. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
The short version
- We do not collect, store, or sell personal information.
- We do not use analytics or third-party tracking.
- We do not require an account to use the app.
- Your preferences and favorites stay on your device.
Information stored on your device
The app saves the following locally (and in an Apple App Group shared with the home-screen widget). This data never leaves your device except as part of your own device backup, if you use one:
- Your radio appearance (color, knobs, dial, day/night).
- Your favorite stations and last-played station.
- App settings (sleep timer, wake-up time, LED color, knob sound).
- The theme and now-playing snapshot used to draw the widget.
Information shared with third parties
To play radio, the app connects to services outside our control. When it does, those services receive your device IP address and standard network request information, governed by their own privacy policies:
- radio-browser.info, the open community directory used to search and list stations.
- The individual radio stations you choose to play; audio is streamed directly from each station’s own servers.
- We do not send these third parties any name, email, contacts, location, or advertising identifier.
Notifications
If you enable the wake-up alarm, the app schedules a local notification at your chosen time. Notifications are handled entirely on your device by iOS; we operate no server.
